Summer Workshops
in partnership with The Berkeley School
Help your student(s) stay sharp and feel ready for the new school year by taking one (or all 3) of our workshops! The Berkeley School has partnered with Classroom Matters to offer exclusive workshops that will engage your student's brain and foster new and developing skills.
Session A classes are for 4th-5th graders.
Session B classes are for 6th-8th graders.
Each class is $150. Register for two and pay only $275! Register for all three and pay just $410! (Families will be billed via Blackbaud Tuition Management and see it on their monthly invoice.)
All classes are in-person and will be on campus at The Berkeley School. Health and safety protocols will be enforced as usual.

READING + creative Writing - $150
Do you feel like your student isn't quite reading to learn yet? In this workshop, we will practice strategies for active, engaged reading using books, stories, and articles. Students will also practice and hone writing skills, working on mechanics and also on writing voice.
(Minimum enrollment is 5 students, maximum is 12 students)

executive function - skills building - $150
Work Smarter, Not Harder - This workshop we will introduce your student to a variety of executive function skills that will help them be successful in school and life, including planning, time management, and chunking. Students will try tools and strategies to plan, prioritize, organize, self-monitor, and track tasks.
(Minimum enrollment is 5 students, maximum is 12 students)

Math FACTS - $150
Let us help clear away the summer math cobwebs in this fun and engaging workshop. Using strategies designed to support even the most numbers-averse kiddo, we will reintroduce the basic math facts using the four operations. We will also cover fractions and decimals. This class is a refresher course to ensure automaticity with the math facts.
(Minimum enrollment is 5 students, maximum is 12 students)

Cancellation Policy
If you must cancel your registration, a refund (minus processing fees) will be provided if cancellation is made at least 4 weeks before the start of the class. Cancellation inside 4 weeks will be applied as a credit towards other Classroom Matters services. If the credits are applied to another workshop, a $10 change fee will apply. For all late registrations (after it has closed), a $20 fee will apply. Any cancellations that are within 4 days (96 hours) of the start of the workshop will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
