Does your family need the convenience of in-home support? Does your student do better when they are at home, in an environment that’s familiar?
No problem!
Our tutors will come to you and provide the same excellent support they do online and at our center in Berkeley.
The process begins with an in-home consult/site visit by one of our co-directors. This is billed at the same rate as tutoring.
The initial consult is a pared-down version of our signature HomeWorks program (see below). Each session after that is with the tutor with whom we match you.

So often we hear from students that they struggle to get started on their work, or stay focused or manage their time effectively – sometimes all three! They confess/admit to being disorganized, unproductive, and distracted by “everything.”
Most of these students have not taken a critical look at their study environment. They do not have the scaffolding they need to work productively.
Classroom Matters' HomeWorks to the rescue! We come into your home, into your student’s room, evaluate the environment, and then show your child (and you!) how to create and maintain a productive study environment at home.
WHAT TO EXPECT
One deep-dive visit to assess the home studying environment, meet with all the stakeholders, and create a family agreement
A list of suggested changes/additions to your child’s study space, with resources for accessories and/or furniture we recommend
Two (2) follow-up visits (30-60 minutes each) to check on student progress
A post-questionnaire designed to evaluate the effectiveness of the new study environment
