The
High School Hub English Page has grammar and writing guides, vocabulary
help, links for literature, poetry, and public speaking sites, and some
good literature study guides.
Novelguide is a decent site
that can help you work through a pretty sizable collection of literature.
They provide literary analysis, character profiles, summaries and more.
Rillingale's Rooms. Here's a
wonderful resource for you: Ms. Lisa Rillingale is a teacher friend
of Classroom Matters. Check out her web site for study guides and other
useful tips!
The
Blue Book of Grammar and Punctuation is an easy-to-use online reference
guide with exercises and quizzes.
Children's Literature
Web Guide gathers together and categorizes the growing number of
Internet resources related to books for children and young adults.
Dialectic Journal (PDF). This
one-page handout helps you achieve close textual reading of literature
and history by recording your thoughts and reactions to the text as
you go. When the time comes to write that essay or take a big exam,
you'll have all your evidence and thoughts about it right there. This
document is in Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF). Before you can
read and print them, you'll need to download the free Adobe
Acrobat Reader.
