CLASSROOM MATTERS

Off-Site Workshops for Parents and Teens

FREE WORKSHOP FOR PARENTS OF TEENS

Would you like to have Classroom Matters deliver a presentation on strategies for helping your student be more successful? We offer a one hour presentation to parent groups in all communities, and we travel to school sites. This useful presentation is not designed as a sales pitch. Instead, Classroom Matters offers this as a community service. The presentation includes information about setting up a successful study environment at home, how to communicate with your reluctant teen, organization from the inside out and long and short term planning for students. Please call Molly Gales or Lisa Miller at 510-540-8646 to set up an appointment today!

FREE TUTOR TRAINING WORKSHOP FOR SCHOOL-SITE TUTORING PROGRAMS

Classroom Matters' unique approach to tutoring addresses student success from a holistic perspective. How are their organization and time management skills? Do they have a good balance of social stimulation and individual study time? What is their study environment like and how does it match with their particular learning style? Classroom Matters offers a free workshop to groups of tutors participating in on- campus tutoring programs serving low-income students. In this workshop we introduce, discuss and strategize about how tutors can make the maximum impact on the success and well being of their students. Call Molly Gales or Lisa Miller at 510-540-8646 to schedule an appointment for your program.
