Mastering the SAT Essay
a two-day, four-hour workshop
Brainstorming and writing a
five-paragraph essay in 25 minutes is tough, and rarely a
skill you've learned in school. What kind of structure do
the graders want? How do I find good examples in so little
time?
In this Classroom Matters workshop,
you will read several essays and learn more about the way
SAT graders score your essay. You will also learn how to plan
and write a solid five-paragraph SAT essay in less than 25
minutes, using a structure that is easy to understand. Receive
helpful feedback from an experienced instructor, and practice
writing essays under timed circumstances. By the end of the
workshop, students will have written at least two timed essays
from real SAT prompts, which the instructor will score and
comment on.
Maximum of 8 students. Materials
provided.
Cost $150
